Benoît is an associate professor of sport management, specializing in sport marketing at the University of Ottawa. His research on sponsorship, ambush marketing, and Olympic Marketing has been published in a variety of international journals and co-authored Olympic Marketing (Routledge). Benoît has extensive professional experience having held leadership positions with Diving Canada, Synchro Canada, Aquatic Federation of Canada, and as Assistant Chef de Mission for Canada’s team at the 2003 Pan American Games. He is a supervising professor at the International Olympic Academy (Olympic marketing and sponsoring), at the Russian International Olympic University (business of sport and the Olympics) and a lecturer for the Executive Masters in Sport Organizations Management (MEMOS), an international program supported by Olympic Solidarity.
