Shihui Chen, PhD, an associate professor at the Health and Physical Education Department at the Hong Kong Institute of Education, earned an MS in Adapted Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, and a PhD in Adapted Kinesiology from the University of New Mexico, USA. He is the current director (HK) of the Asian Society of Adapted Physical Education, as well as the Secretary General of Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS). Dr. Chen was a tenured associate professor at the University of Texas Pan American, and had taught motor learning and development, motor development of children with disabilities, and adapted physical education for undergraduate and graduate programs. Dr. Chen is also the program leader of the sports science program, and the MEd and EdD program coordinator at HKIEd. Dr. Chen is the APE section editor for APCESS journals (AJESS). He is a certified Adapted Physical Educator (CAPE). Dr. Chen was the Research Fellow of the Research Consortium under AAHPERD; he has successfully received more than 20 research, teaching development, and knowledge grants, and has conducted many public seminar and workshops for HK school teachers. Dr. Chen has published approximately 60 research articles in referred journals.
