Edward F. Etzel

Edward F. Etzel is a licensed psychologist with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics who serves as the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program coordinator at West Virginia University. He also is an associate professor with the School of Physical Education at WVU, where he teaches various applied sport psychology courses such as the psychological aspects of injury, sport performance enhancement interventions, counseling college student-athletes, and research methods. Dr. Etzel operates a private practice specializing in counseling and sport psychology in Morgantown, WV. He was a 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist in Shooting and coached WVU's Rifle Team to five NCAA national championships.

Dr. Etzel offers professional sport psychology and counseling psychology services at Advantage Psychological Associates in Morgantown, WV. He works with older adolescents and adults on issues ranging from general problems with living, coping with life stress, career transition issues, alcohol and drug problems, stress management, performance enhancement concerns, and team building.
